Question 1

What is personal branding photography?

Accepted Answer

Personal branding photography is strategic, professional imagery designed to showcase your professional story, expertise, and personality. Unlike basic headshots, brand photography creates a comprehensive visual library you can use across your website, social media, marketing materials, and speaking engagements.

Question 2

Who needs personal branding photography?

Accepted Answer

Entrepreneurs, business owners, real estate agents, executives, consultants, coaches, authors, speakers, and creative professionals benefit most from personal branding photography. If you're building a business, growing your professional presence, or positioning yourself as an expert in your field, you need professional brand photos.

Question 3

What's the difference between headshots and personal branding photography?

Accepted Answer

Headshots are single portraits, typically just your face and shoulders, used for LinkedIn or company directories. Personal branding photography is a comprehensive session that captures you in multiple settings, outfits, and scenarios — working at your desk, interacting with clients, giving presentations, or showcasing your expertise. You'll receive 25-65 images per session vs. 3-5 with headshots.

Question 4

How much does personal branding photography cost?

Accepted Answer

Personal branding collections start at $5000 and include strategic planning, professional styling, hair and makeup, a 4-6 hour photography session, professional editing, and your final image selection. We also offer subscription packages (4-6 sessions per year) for clients who need fresh content quarterly.

Question 5

Where are you located?

Accepted Answer

Our studio is in Needham, Massachusetts, centrally located in MetroWest Boston. We serve clients throughout the greater Boston area including Wellesley, Newton, Natick, Brookline, Framingham, Weston, Dover, and surrounding communities.

Question 6

Do you photograph men?

Accepted Answer

We welcome all professionals who resonate with our approach to authentic, strategic brand photography.

Question 7

What should I wear for my personal branding session?

Accepted Answer

Our professional stylist will work with you to select outfits that align with your brand, industry, and the message you want to convey. We'll plan 3-5 complete looks that work across different contexts (formal, casual, in-action, etc.).

Question 8

How long does a personal branding session take?

Accepted Answer

Full branding sessions are 4-6 hours, allowing time for hair and makeup, multiple outfit changes, various setups and locations (in-studio and/or on-location), and different scenarios that tell your complete professional story.

Question 9

Can we shoot at my office or business location?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Many clients prefer a mix of studio shots and on-location images at their office, workspace, or business. This helps show you in your element and gives your photos added authenticity and context.

Question 10

What's included in subscription packages?

Accepted Answer

Subscription packages include 4-6 full photography sessions per year (quarterly or bi-monthly), ongoing strategic planning, wardrobe styling for each session, hair and makeup, professional editing, commercial use license, and 45-65 images per session. This ensures you always have fresh, current content.

Question 11

When will I see my photos?

Accepted Answer

Two weeks after your session, we'll meet for a private reveal where you'll see all your professionally edited images and select your favorites for your final collection.

Question 12

Do I get the rights to use my photos commercially?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All personal branding photography packages include a commercial use license, so you can use your images on your website, social media, marketing materials, advertising, and promotional content without restrictions.

Question 13

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

We recommend booking 4-6 weeks in advance for individual sessions, and 8-10 weeks for subscription packages to allow time for strategic planning and coordination.
